DIY crafty clothes pin

I wanted to paint a large clothes pin I have, to coordinate with my desk items. My inspiration came from the sweet DIY clothes pin magnets Britni posted on her blog Hubby Made Me
She used glue sticks to adhere cut craft paper and then added magnets. I love the patterns she chose:)
The robin's egg blue on my clothespin was nice, but it didn't work with my warm tones.
After lightly sanding, I used flat, white, interior/exterior spray paint. It's been very humid, so I only did one coat. The one coat took two days to dry:)
I chose a sheet of orange and white scrap book paper from a previous project, and I had just enough to  trace then cut to fit the front and back.
I was apprehensive about the glue stick attaching the paper securely, but it worked great!!
Come over to the party:)

  6. Thank you so much for the shout out Michele! You are too sweet! And you have no idea how thrilled I am to see this. You know how you post things and always wonder if people use your tutorials? Well now I know and it's awesome! That is so cute and I LOVE the color and pattern. I have one of those large clothespins in my room that I don't like anymore {it doesn't match anything}, so I may have to do this too! We can keep linking back and forth ;)
