Finally getting to doll up some hats using up- cycled materials. I saw a great flower idea on Pinterest and just had to try them. This black and white top is from the Goodwill store. It's a nice light weight cotton blend fabric, and I chose it because it has two different fabrics.

After cutting a strip of fabric from the shirt and twisting, I twirled it into a circle to form a flower shape. Then I unraveled it, and starting in the center worked my way hot gluing to attach flowers. Gluing underneath as I went along. You can make the flowers as full or as big as you like depending on the thickness and length of your fabric strip!
I've had this white ski hat for a while, and it's one of my favorites. I don't ski, but I do wear it a lot!
These cute Dollar Tree hats needed some dolling up for sure! I love no-sew projects and this one was super simple and fast!!!!
I decided to make a series of smaller flowers for the striped hat. I was going to use the black, but the stripes on stripes won out. I got this one done in record speed and wore it out to the movies:)

My hubby snapped this photo for me.
Stay Warm!
Michele
