diy doily snowflake pillowcase

I've always thought vintage doilies resemble snow flakes, and I love to decorate with them around the holidays. I crafted this snow flake pillowcase using doilies from the dollar store.  The larger Dollar Stores seem to carry them. You may be able to shop for them at the store's website. Recently, I couldn't find the Dollar Tree mylar mailing envelopes I like in store, but I found them online. Shipping was free, since I chose to have them delivered to my local store. They arrived within a week!
How-to:
Arrange and pin your doilies in place on your pillow case.
Machine stitching is best for securing them. I used a straight machine stitch, following around my doily edges and finished off with a floral machine stitch about two inches from the doily center, following the doilies knitted circle pattern. I want to make a couple more for a super snowy bedroom!

We were supposed to get a dusting of snow today, but got six inches, yahoo!!!!
