I tore my favorite sweat-shirt sleeve on an old fence nail putting my bike away in the dark. The tear was right at the elbow, so I decided to make heart shaped, elbow patches.
I used felt and fabric fuse to make mine, but you could use any scrap fabric that you like!

ReplyDeleteI am not crafty, but I wish someone could do this for one of my favourite hoodies. I looked at elbow and low and behold there is a hole. I mended it, but I have the feeling that it won't hold for very long. The fabric is pretty weak in that area. Also I know from previous attempts on another one, the mend was rather short lived. I kind of gave up, but that one is pretty much on the way out. This one except for the hole is still fine. I know from here out I will have to be careful how I wash it. I wish that I knew someone crafty that could do the elbow patches. I like how yours turned out.
